Looking at medals, this is post WW1. Note: Not in RNVR uniform so a ‘civilian’ band?
Text on reverse suggests John Holloway of Bristol was the Bandmaster. “With Band’s Compliments John H Holloway BM 23 Brick Street Bristol. late Chief Bandmaster RNVR and RND.” John Holloway is shown in the Postal Directories as a chimney sweep. The photo was found at the RNVR HQ in Jamaica Street.
