HMS LOCUST

In 1951, HMS LOCUST was commissioned as additional drill ship.

A Dragon-Class River Gunboat, she was built in 1939 by Yarrow. 197 feet long, beam 33 feet, compliment 74, speed 17 knots. She saw action at Dunkirk, Dieppe and the Normandy Landings before being placed in reserve in 1946.

In 1968, HMS LOCUST was decommissioned and towed to the breakers.
