P292 HMS CHARGER (1988 – 1990)

 

P292 HMS CHARGER at Bangor Marina

In 1988 HMS CHARGER was commissioned and arrived at Avonmouth having been allocated to Severn Division RNR. She is an Archer-class patrol vessel [P2000] built by Watercraft Limited, Shoreham-by-Sea and fitted out at Vosper Thornycroft. She is just over 20m long and 5.8m beam and powered by two Rolls-Royce turbo engines. In 1990 HMS CHARGER was transferred to Liverpool URNU.
